Just a quick question for people out there -- all the literature (Heather's book included!) that I've read about IBS usually says that there's a reaction fairly soon after eating something bad. I've noticed now that the attacks are more or less under control so that I have good days that I seem to have a little less than a 48 hour delay between the time I eat something and when I suffer the consequences. I've never really brought this up to my doctor because last time I was there I wasn't aware of it.

Just wanted to know if it might be something to bring up, or whether a delay is normal in some cases.

Thanks all!

I sometimes find it hard to link bloating or d-attacks to what I've been eating and I think this is due to delay sometimes. I can also react straight away, but if I've been a bit off the diet in just little ways, it seems to add up until I end up being ill, as a cumulative effect. I'm sure there are so many people reacting in different ways that other people will find this so as well.
