I've been taking psyllium since Xmas and it worked for a while but for the last couple of weeks I've had alot of bloating and gas so I ordered acacia and can't wait to try it. But here's my question- my doc told me to take 2 tsp psyllium 3 times a day. I just did the calculations, and that's around 30 g of fiber a day. I noticed that the acacia instructions said to take only 15g per day. Have I been taking too much psyllium? can it hurt? (I'm also kinda small- 5 feet/100lbs). Should I cut back? Anyone?

I'd cut back. That stuff can be mean. I got to the stage that I couldn't take my Fybogel if I was having a bad day - not helpful! Cut back and wait for the Acacia.

Yeah, I take psyllium with no problem but only one rounded teaspoon three times a day, or half what you've been taking.
