whiskey sour is what I drink when I just gotta have one. Its just whiskey and sour mix, its a little sweet and no carbonation. I still think wine is safer! Good luck and have fun, try not to spoil the night by worring about the morning!

I went on a cruise in Jan. and had a least 1 drink every day. Usually the drink of the day, which was a fruity one with lots of ice. Had no problems, even with the cheating I did on food. By the last night I was getting tired of the fruity drinks when everyone else was drinking cosmos or wine, so I tried an apricot sour and loved it. I drank slow, ate lots of soluble fiber, avoided carbination. I used to love beer and thought if I would just drink one of those slow it would last a long time (more volume), but got to the point where I would start to feel bloated after a few sips and couldn't even finish one. I would get teased all the time for never finishing a drink. Then I tried wine because my husband drinks it all the time and when we'd be eating out wanted to drink something with everyone else, but that bothered me too. I can't believe the hard stuff gives me less problems. One thing I do sometimes is order the drink made with 1/2 the alcohol. One time while sitting and talking with other drinkers in a bar, just to have something, I ordered a selzer water with lemon and stirred the heck out of it to get out some of the fizz. It was really refreshing (and cheap) and I felt like I was drinking. Fortunatley I can handle orange juice (with rum) and tomato juice (bloody mary) if I just have one.
Good luck and have fun.
