mornin'; is italian bread soluble fibre? I had it with some french toast this morning and it seemed to unsettle my stomach. i JUST had a bit of egg, the recipe called for just ONE EGG, for the whole recipe and I didn't use it all, maybe a quarter of it with soy milk. Soy milk is ok. for me. that's it. a sprinkle of cinnmaon on top. Oh yeah, cooked in olive oil.

Louise,
I think Heather says Italian bread, like French bread, should be fine, but check the ingredients. Also, although eggs don't bother me, they do bother other people, which is why Heather suggests eliminating the yolk and just using the white.

Also, it could just be coincidence. Anyway, hope you feel better soon1

Could have been the olive oil or the egg. Even a small amount of whole egg can upset the stomach. Italian bread is soluable.

Hi Louise

Italian bread in itself is fine - if its white (as it usually is) it's soluble fibre. But sometimes it's made with a lot of oil, so that might've been it. Or coincidence?

I agree the bread should be fine as well as the soy milk.
I have to question the egg. Even the littlest amount can set it off. Try subing egg beaters or a an egg substitute it will work. Try Canola oil next time use it sparingly. See how you do. Ya know most can handle soy milk, try rice milk see if it makes a difference. Just some thoughts
