I was thinking about making chicken soup with chicken boullion cubes but wondered if they are okay? did a search but couldn't find anything...

Unfortunately, they are considered bad, because they have chicken fat & MSG.

I buy vegetarian (vegetable to chicken-flavored), organic (no msg) bouillon cubes from a health food store and add them to white rice for extra flavour and have never had a problem.

I use Marigolds Vegetable Bouillon Powder and love the stuff. I'd just always check ingredients for dairy products and excess fat.

I recently noticed that the boullion cubes my mom has used for years contain whey, which is dairy!! I've been looking for organic cubes and haven't found them yet, so I've convinced her to use chicken broth for now instead. Although you have to watch out for that too, since most of them contain MSG. Annoying stuff, I know... but you'll find things that work for you!
