Not feeling well since a week ago Friday. Had costipation for a while but it quit. Almost feels like a recurrence of a gall bladder attack but of,course that can't be because it is gone. I have stomach bloating as well. But reports on my physical were okay.
At this time I am taking that Hemmocult Stool test for signs of blood in stool as part of my last physical. Because of my age 66 and fact that my mother died of colon cancer a few months ago this test will be standard annually as well as a colonoscopy at times.
But I am getting away from question. Since I take organge flavoured Metamucil does it affect colour of stool? Seems darker than usual.
Sorry if subject seems gross to some.

Sorry your not feeling well, I have been both good and bad lately, alot of C that comes and goes. I have taken metamucil many times and have never noticed a stool color change. When is your test? Perhaps someone else has had this happen to them...

Test is one you do yourself for three days. Samples put on a slide with a chemical that lab tests.

Hello ArtKen, Just wanted to say no question can be too gross when it comes to a bunch of people with IBS! Not sure but your Metamucil question but maybe you can call the company and ask them if that is a side affect - sometimes there is a 1-800 number listed on the bottle in case someone has questions.
