The medication I am currently taking is called Dicetel. I'm not positive it is sold in the US and I was wondering if any of you were taking it because I would have a question or two.
Thx,
bye bye!

I took it for a bit but i found that it didn't really help me but my mom is on it right now (she also has IBS) and it seems to be helping her some. I'll try and help you with any questions you have!

Hi!
One of my questions was: what to do when you skip a meal? SOmetimes, during the weekends, I like to sleep in and have a bigger breakfast instead of breakfast and lunch. I take one dicetel before every meal. If I only take two meals, I end up taking less medication and it seems to make me feel worse. Maybe it's only because I skip a meal. Maybe it's the Dicetel.... I don't know..
Has any of you experienced bigger symptoms when skipping meals?

Chantale, I don't take dicetel, but I know what you mean about feeling worse when you skip meals. On weekends, I try to just eat on the same schedule, but off by a few hours.Does that make sense? I try not to eat bigger meals, which tend to be a trigger for me, but sometimes that's hard if everyone wants to go to brunch! Also I try to have a snack and some citrucel before I go to bed,if I know I'll be sleeping late. I think that skipping meals and an empty tummy must be a trigger because this also happens to me if I don't have time for lunch or miss a snack, etc.
