Hey Bev,

They are checking for Celiac and a few other things my Dr wants to rule out. So I hope that I'll get some answers. I've been feeling so yucky the past few months I'm wondering if I have IBS and something else. I've been folowing the diet and still don't feel good..at all. I'm so tired of feeling like crap and not being able to go and do fun things with my family! I'm ready for a change!!!

So I'll let ya know how everything goes and to tell ya the truth...I'm a little excited for a day off...My mom will watch my kids and when I get home I'm going to lay around and do nothing...Hubby gets to do it all!!!

Thanks for your love and support!! I just love the boards

Hi there! I've had two endoscopies... no big deal. I don't care for needles so getting the IV in was the worst part. The drugs they give you are seriously great... you're not asleep but you forget the whole thing happened. Afterwards I was super groggy and I took a long nap. All in all it seems scary than it actually turns out to be (all of the paperwork about blood transfusions freaked me out, even though I knew it was just because it was required by law for all procedures at the hospital). The first time I had it done I even got pictures of the inside of my stomach!

Oh Bev, Your so funny! I think there are a few different ladies on the boards right now who are or want to become pregnant....I'm not one of them at the moment!!! I get BAD morning sickness when I'm pregnant...I have to work up to that. Maybe next year I'll be ready!!!

So tell me how did the worms taste! LOL

I felt sleepy. Very sleepy. I went home and slept for three hours. It didn't take very long... a relatively short book should do it. Unless you're counting the time before the actual procedure when you're just hanging out with the IV. But I made my spouse talk to me then. In all I think the actual thing takes a half an hour or so?

Oooo, my memory is s**t! I can't remember how long it took - possibly because of the drugs! A book sounds like a good idea though. Afterwards I felt a bit groggy, but generally okay. Just not up to doing much.

I never got the chance to get any major testnig done. It's sort of a sticky situation. I didn't find out any of this IBS research until i was in canada already. If i had found it while still living in arizona, it prob would have been easier for me to go to the doc and get a referral to a specialists and get the tests done i needed. I'm pretty sure, there's no doubt what i have. Although i did land in the hospital ER because the attack was so bad. All I know, is as crappy as i've been feeling, and anytime i ever felt this crappy due to IBS, i always said, ya know i wouldn't even wish this pain on my worst enemy. I don't think anyone deserves this much pain. It's definitely good you have a strong support network at home, and here. I wish i could be of more help.

Thank you Sommer! Are you staying in Canada very long? Or are you coming back to the states? I know how you feel! I wouldn't wish this on anyone either!

Take care

Steph,
I hope your test wasn't too bad. i have never heard of that test, and I have gone through plenty. What do they do and is it just for Celiac? I was diag. in Dec. 2003 and started the diet on my own and still feel terrible all the time. I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if there is something else wrong that they haven't found. The thing that makes me crazy is that my Dr. has run every other test and everything comes up NEG an I still feel sick to my stomach every day, headache, backache. Back and forth between D and C. Mostly D but the last week C. I have had blood work done ultrasound to check Gallbladder. Colonoscopy, upper and lower GI. I just broke down tonight and started crying to my 12 yr old that I don't know what else to do, and I'm sick of feeling sick. It is so hard to feel terrible all the time and just lay around. I have a 14yr old Daug. (Stephanie), a 12yr old Daug. (Chelsea) and a 3yr old son (Ryder. I feel like such a terrible mother when I don't feel well. I have to miss out on a lot of stuff and depend on others for help a lot. I"m sorry to go on. I guess I just needed to vent. I hope all went well for you. You sure are a beautiful young lady. I'm 36 and have had tummy problems FOREVER!!!! Thanks for listening. Let me know how the test went and what they found.
