I'm wondering how to get the nutritional value for foods. I remember Sharon mentioning that she has contacted food companies to find out their ingredients. What about the calories, fat and dietary fiber? Now that I'm on weight watchers - I have to find these things! Lots of the things we had sent to us in Japan were minus their boxes (to save on shipping). Therefore I don't have their nutritional value. I've tried searching the web for the products and "nutritional value" and can't find anything. I'm hoping someone can help me get this information!!

just a suggestion. Could the people who ship to you cust the info from the box and send that to you? It wouldn't take up space. I'm thinking you have people send it to you. If a company is shipping minus the boxes, they should be able to provide the nutritional info to you.

Yes, you're right - people had shipped them to us. However, we're no longer requesting things (going home in 7 months). Now we're trying to eat through our stores. We've got a lot of things to consume in 7 months!

Kim - the next time people send you "care" pkgs, have them cut out the nutr info from the box and include it. It can't cost that much more for postage, could it?
Have you logged onto manufacturers' websites?

Kim - another thought--since us guys here on the board are so swell, why don't you just post the product and one of us HAS to have this product at home and we can post the info for you. Make a list and post it and we can help. And, if I already know how many points something is, I'll be more than happy to post back. Does that sound reasonable??

Hi Kim (again) - I just realized I had the WW Complete Food Companion, Points values for more than 14,000 foods--that's right...14,000!!!
Just post and I'll look it up. No need for anyone to go thru their cupboards...I've got it at my fingertips! Post on, mama!!!

Yikes - Kimbo - STEP AWAY FROM THE CHICKEN HELPER!
Seriously - maybe that's the problem why you are still sick - because you are having a tough time spotting possible triggers. Chicken helper makes me sick within minutes. I think it's the cream sauce they get you to put over the pasta and chicken. I don't know but it's not pretty!
Maybe you should talk to Heather about your eating habits and maybe she can help you with your triggers because I know since I have been on the diet I haven't touched Chicken Helper. (Even though it is chicken that sauce is a killer)
Best wishes and good luck! It's not easy!

Kim - Yeh, I know I'm nutso...but I'm a helper. ALTHOUGH I think Lana is right about staying away from these things...they're probably loaded with chemicals and hidden ingredients.
But, I did find it in the 14,000 foods book:
Chicken Helper cheddar & broccoli, prepared 1 c = 7 pts Chicken Helper chicken and herb rice, prepared 1 c = 6 Chicken Helper chicken & stuffing prepared 1 c = 6 Chicken Helper chicken fried rice, prepared 1 c = 6 Chicken Helper chicken potato au gratin prepared 1 c = 6 Chicken Helper fettuccini alfredo, prepared 1 c = 6 Chicken Helper roasted garlic, prepared 1 c = 6 Skillet Chicken Helper Stir fried chicken prepared 1 c = 6
Do they have WW in Japan??? BTW, how come you ended up in Japan? Just curious.
