Well most people would be thrilled, and I am ...sorta, but I developed IBS after I had my son about 7 months ago. Since then I have lost 65 pounds and am continuing to drop pounds and sizes. I was overweight but now am about 20 pounds away from the "ideal" weight. Is this going to stop or level out? I am eating about 5 to 7 times a day and following the IBS diet, drinking lots of water and tea. I really cannot do anything more. Any ideas or should I not worry until I get in the weight zone that I am losing so much?

What are the calories like for the things you typically eat? If you change your diet to things with more calories, but it's still the same amount of food, you may be able to gain some weight. Just a thought....

Wow, Carrie, I'd give anything to trade places with you! I follow the program, and I sure haven't been able to lose any weight. Are you eating the ADBs? What about the tofu cocoa pudding? You mustn't be a chocoholic.

Banana-Nut Bread? Pumpkin Waffles? Oatmeal Pumpkin Bread? Rice Pudding Bread? Zucchini-Nut Bread? Fettuccine with Chicken? Kree's Macaroni and Cheese? My Awesome Crock Pot Spaghetti Sauce?

How about the pizza? Either home made soy cheese pizza or Amy's frozen soy cheese pizza?

Soy Dream Mocha Fudge Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert?

Damn I'm getting hungry!

Don't start worrying until you get PAST your ideal weight! We have enough to worry about without thinking of more stuff!

The IBS diet is pretty healthy and, obviously, low in fat and processed foods. If you were eating whatever before, it's not surprising you're losing weight. I lost some too when I started the diet, but then put it back on (damn!). But I'm only a wee bit overweight (or so I tell myself ) so there's not so much to lose.

Enjoy it! Treat yourself to new clothes!

Yes...I always have a loaf of the banana nut bread made, I eat waffles or bagels for breakfast, a sandwich and some baked chips for lunch, then a rice krispy treat or peice of bread for snack, then dinner (which is always a meat, a starch, a veggie and fresh homemade bread, then I have another bread or a cutie for dessert. I have always been overweight, even as a child, raised in the "clean plate club" home and made to drink whole milk with every meal. GROSS!!! DOn't worry I would never do this to my children! SO I don't know what is going on. I am not exercising. Who has the time? I am a sahm for a 6 year old and an 8 month old...all together cooking and cleaning for a family of five...CRAZINESS!!!! I just keep getting smaller. My husband said he is going to start calling me the incredible shrinking woman like Lilly Tomlin. HA HA! I guess I will enjoy it for now, and not worry unless it becomes a problem.
