I thought ALL artificial sweeteners were a no-no. Heather says, on page 33 of "The First Year": "Artificial sweeteners, particularly sorbitol, can trigger pain and diarrhea." That was enough to turn me off to ANY of the stuff, especially since I'm a "D".

I use Splenda and have had no problems.... put it in my tea, my baking....

Hey JTS, I'm from Columbia, MD too!
I just received a free sample of Sweet Leaf Stevia (it's Stevia Plus and has fiber in it). I'm not sure if the fiber is ok or not (I think it's FOS), but I haven't had any problems with it (I'm IBS C for the most part) and it seems much sweeter to me than Sweet N Low or Equal so I only use a tiny bit in my tea. I believe Stevia is ok, but does anyone know if this Stevia Plus is safe?

Bev, yes, she does say that. But everyone's different and I can still tolerate a little bit of Equal now and then.
