question on peppermint altoids

everyone what are peppermint altoids for? are they for gas pains? jasper

They give the same effect as peppermint tea. Help with pain. It would help with gas pain..I don't think it would take gas away however, but fennel tea would help with that!

I believe they are to sooth the colon, at least that is what I use them for, especially since I read Heather's book Eating for IBS and use her advice on swallowing a whole Altoid before a large meal and I use them to make my own peppermint tea.
