May want to try non-fat, plain soy milk or vanilla flavor. I use WestSoy brand and have had no problems.

Good question. I can't answer that for you. All I can say is give it a try. Maybe you could try a few of the tabs with whatever you have for breakfast and see. For me, I have to take it with almost every meal (with the first or second bite), but then I ALSO take a digestive enzyme with the meal as well. I also take probiotics and a chlorophyll tab in the morning and at night. I do yoga when I can fit it in. All of those can help with a continuous gas problem. Gas X didn't work for me, but it may for you. You just never know about these things until you give them a try. Each of us is different. BTW, Activated charcoal tabs can work really well for gas, but don't take them more than a couple of days. Adversely they absorb needed vitamins and minerals.

is just called "GAS" by Hylands, available at the health food stores. It is a homeopathic product and is a little pill you use sublingual (under the tongue). I'm told it helps for gas, AFTER the fact, or in this case after you've eaten and the gas has set it's course. If that's the case it could be wonderful for many of us. I intend to get some, skip the Beano a time or two and try it. Has anyone else heard of it?

Thanks for all the different ideas - it didn't give me gas, just the laxative effect. I'll probably try it one more time in a few days and see if it does it again - if so it's on to different sources of protein!

Hi!

I've tried many different brands of soy milk and the one that I think tastes best is Natura, especially the vanilla flavor. At one point, I thought soy milk was hard on my intestines but I realized it was probably because I was drinking the chocolate-flavoured one. Natura also makes low fat soymilk and it's almost as good as the regular one.

I agree with you on rice milk... Not so good!!!

When I was first diagnosed a long time ago, the nutritionist told me that peanuts and peanut butter were big no-no's. Is this not true? I could really eat peanut butter?!

I'm with you, Loriann, I've been eating soynut butter. It's great, but I'd sure like some PB again! The last time I tried the full fat kind it brought on an attack.

They have it in the grocery store -I think it is Jiff. I've been thinking about getting some myself but wanted to know what Heather thought.
