The flax oil usually has to be refridgerated, but does anyone know if the flaxseed oil pills have to be?? I don't think so, but want to make sure.
Thanks!

Hi,
Yes, they do. Any pill that is oil based will get rancid quickly if not refrigerated since they are volotile and don't last long in heat or light. Same hold true for such pills as Vitamin E, Evening of Primrose, EFA's, etc. In fact any seeds, which as you know, are high in oils should also be refrigerated. With flax seeds (whole) the storage time is 1 year refrigerated but only 3 months if not. Ground, 3 months refrigerated and 1 month not. That's because of the high oil content.
Hope this helps.

Yeah, they are really big! I haven't had too much of a hard time getting them down though! I guess I had better put mine in the fridge too! I also take 2 a day.
