LOVE the picture, Nurturing! VERY cute! Another Beauty on the Boards!
Okay, my positive IBS thought is: I'm eating a lot better now, am healthier now, and have lowered my blood pressure so that I do not need blood pressure medication after all.
How's that, Cutie?!

Here's mine:
IBS is a great incentive to cut fat, caffiene, soda pop, and other unhealthy foods from my diet (and note that I am completely immune to "willpower" -- ha, ha!). I'm learning relaxation, the wonders of alternative therapies, and yoga -- all positive things! When I take the time to care for myself the way I want others to care for themselves, I am avoiding attacks.
Great topic idea -- thanks for sharing!

I can go on trips and not worry about attacks (thanks to this diet) IBS gives me more motivation and reason to AVOID unhealthy foods. Great thread - and great pic too!

Mine is... IBS will not take over my life again. I have found new friends (that share it too, which puts the pressure of "I´m alone" to rest) a new way of eating that has given me back my energy, my body and a great positive attitude. I am happy to know I have the skills to deal with IBS and I thank all of you and especially Heather, her dedication has helped us all! Kudos Heather! Michelle.

It could be worse. Count my blessings. Look at how many days I DON'T have a problem. Doing the best I can one day at a time is good enough for God, so it's good enough for me. Progress, not perfection!

This type of thing, saying positive words, is the same used to deal with anxiety disorder. I use the meditation and positive dialect to calm myself down when I am going to have an anxiety/panic/D moment in a store or out traveling. It works most of the time. Keep up the good WORD! Michelle.

I think having IBS has changed my attitude and perspective on life. I feel that i'm probably more understanding and caring of other people because i know how it feels to be sick or how it feels for people to "just not get it". Also i'm 18 and so if i was able to drink i think i would be doing a lot more partying then say focusing on my school work and even though i still go out, i don't stay out till all hours of the morning and don't have to have the dreaded "hangover" the next day . IBS has changed my life and even though it has its down sides it also has it UPS!! Keep thinking positive! Julie
