HI- I'm a big fan of the cooking magazine 'Taste of Home' as well as its' sister magazines 'Light andtasty'
and Quick Cooking. If any of you get these, you know a lot of the recipes are filled with fat, etc and
other no-nos. Just wondering if anyone has had luck modifying recipes. I would hate to stop
subscribing-one of my favorite things is leafing through them looking at new recipes after a tiring
work day. Thanks! Linda

I used to get Quick Cooking, but stopped because I was hardly ever getting any recipes out of it with all the fat. I was thinking of trying Light and Tasty. You couldn't find any good ones in that? I know torbetta posted Dinner in a Bag from Quick Cooking. It's so good too!

HI! Yes, Light and Tasty is probably the best bet of the 3 magazines for low fat stuff. But many of
the recipes like the stir fries scared me off due to the amount of insoluble fiber such as pea pods
and broccoli. I have to work my way up to it, I guess!I think I'll go through some today and see
what I can find. Thanks for the quick response! Linda

Hey Linda, how 'bout "subscribing" to the Eating for IBS Recipe Board? There are lots of REAL friendly people there -- not to mention the INCREDIBLE recipes themselves -- all IBS-friendly. Have you checked out the recipe index that our own Mags updates for us? It's amazing how many wonderful recipes are in there. I'm having a lot of fun trying as many as I can. I started a 3-ring binder for "IBS Recipes." I print out all my faves, make them, eat them, enjoy them, and then they all go in the binder.

For me, no magazines. Just THE BEST recipes anywhere -- right HERE!

HI! Yes, I check through the recipes in the index on a regular basis and have enjoyed many of them
including your recipe for herbed chicken with spinach and penne-yum! I am a cooking magazine
junkie, though-I find it relaxes me after teaching emotionally disturbed kids in the inner city all
day. I LOVE Heather's book too and make the breads each weekend to stockpile in the freezer so
there's always something safe to eat around the house. So keep those great recipes coming!

I used to get "Cooking Light" magazine, published by Southern Living. Don't know if it's still around. Just a thought.
