I know that foods with high frucrose are supposedly bad for you, but what exactly does it do to your stomach? Also, what is so bad about having tea with equal? It is difficult for me to tell what foods bother my stomach because if my stomach doesnt already hurt, I usually wont feel it until late at night or the next morning? Is this normal for someone with IBS? Every morning for the past year and a half my stomach has bothered me, but some days are so much worse than others. If I was to eat everything right, like the recipes in Heathers book, would ai feel absolutely no pain, or would it just feel better. I feel as though every food bothers me, just some bother me way worse. Well thanx for any advice!!

Welcome to the boards! Yes, high fructose is a nasty trigger for IBS. Have real sugar - it's perfectly safe for IBS. It is often normal to have foods bother you in the night or the day after - my advice is to look at the trigger foods part of this website and avoid them. Chances are you'll feel much better!
