I am about to turn 16 and look for a job. My question is has anybody had a problem getting a job because of IBS and should I put down that I have IBS down on the application, or tell the employer about it?

I'm not sure if you should put it on your application as I don't think it would be regarded as a 'disability' but it might be best to tell them, as they shouldn't discriminate against you when hiring you, and if you are honest from the start it may be easier to make arrangements for if you feel ill at work. I suppose it also depends on what kind of job it is.

Hey Chris! i'll be seventeen next week and i only had one job before. lol. the hardest part for me was lunch time because they never let you bring your lunch and they only sold cheeseburgers and salads! LOL. I think it would be easier for you just to tell your boss that you have ibs but if you dont think its nessasary, you dont have to
