Ooooooh . . . I just bought myself a brand new tea strainer, and it's way cool. It ain't cheap; it cost me $7, but it's worth it! The strainer part is deep and drops into the cup; the top is a rim that fits over the top of the rim of the teacup. It's stainless steel, it's called a "tea-sieve," and I believe the brand is "Tea Bake Time."

I got it at the health food store, where I stocked up on Shanna's favorite tea (I'm gonna make her Chai Tea Meltdown!), Silk soy creamer, mocha fudge Silk Dream "ice cream," chocolate Silk Dream "ice cream," vanilla Silk Dream "ice cream," and -- OF COURSE -- more Amy's frozen soy cheese pizza!

WOW, am I gonna have a great dinner tonight! (Hey Don, honey, what are YOU gonna eat?)

Sounds good Bev...

I must have a million tea strainers of one sort or another but my favorite for VERY fine tea leaves is the Bodum Yo Yo set. The plastic mesh basket can set over any size tea cup, even a deep mug, and IS SO fine it never lets in "floaties"....Anything else in glass or stainless steel has disappointed me so far for trying to keep the leaves OUT of the water............(And I even have the Bodum pot with a plastic infuser, but because the infuser is not a "mesh" plastic, but rather one with slits in it, it doesn't work as well.)

Is this something like what your's looks like..? The picture here doesn't show it but it also comes with a snap lid for the infuser itself....

I just got my very first tea ball. I'm so excited.
I put fennel in it right away and made tea. Now I
have to find something to cover up the fennel taste.
