Hello All,
I have a medical appointment in a town 40 miles from my home and they have a DUNKIN' DONUTS!!
I searched on their website regarding donuts with very little dairy in them and dammit, I am going to BUY some!!
I am SOOOO sick of DENYING myself all the time! If I have to pay a little for this with some frequent bathroom trips, SO BE IT!!

I must say that it is very hard to deny a very intense craving. I think sticking to the diet at all times is a very important thing but if there is one very rare occasion like this then eat a good soluble fibre bas first, have some soluble fibre supplement with it and ensure you don't need to be anywhere for the next few days. Lots of peppermint tea etc...and I have also found taking some slippery elm and digestive enzymes helps digest the "naughty" foods I have on rare occasions. Keep immodium or gastro stop handy aswell.
Don't beat yourself up over an occasional treat. I recently had to review a restaurant for work and it was my favourite kind-a steak restaurant. I fortified my tummy with soluble fibre, digestive enzymes and gastro stop and had a nice steak meal out and I was ok.
But...it was a rare treat. Glad you enjoyed your donuts.:)
When days get tought with IBS it's important to remember that it will not kill us-it's not an allergy it's a very severe intolerance to certain things because of something that's happened to our gut. So enjoy responsibly.
