Hello,
The physician assistant who met with me today at the gastro doc's office mentioned the above 2 medications for treating IBS.
I am asking if any of you have taken these meds and how they worked for you, including problems and side effects.
Thank you for your replies!
-------------------- Originally diagnosed with IBS-C in Spring, 2008. During spring to fall of 2008, had at least 10 acupuncture treatments and Chinese herbs. IBS went into remission. IBS returned in late July 2013 after taking 2 oral contrasts for a CT scan for cancer follow up. Had more acupuncture with different practitioner in summer 2014, but received little benefit.

I know this is an old thread, but for future searches on these drugs..Both can cause infrequent bowel movements. Better for diarrhea;EDIT: My experience is with dicyclomine, slows bowel and urination, tames upper GI a little, very drying. Have taken at most, 10mg 4x/day-inexpensive. Messes up concentration if taken this often during day for me, similar to Benedryl antihistamine effect. I like the peppermint caps, fennel tea and acacia regimen.
