I'm curious about certain food issues. I know dairy products are a trigger so I basically drink Rice Milk and eat egg whites. I've replaced butter with something called Bestlife Buttery Spread! Is this considered a "safe" food? Also are condiments like ketchup, mayo and mustard safe? Thank you!

From my experience, everyone is different, and some folks find one food a trigger and others do not. I used to find that all foods became unsafe over time, and I was down to crackers and water at one point. I personally now have no unsafe foods, but everyone is different. What one person may find unsafe, another can eat with no problems. I speak with many IBS patients and have found this to be pretty universal - some even find they can eat one food one day and then have difficulty on another. It can be quite frustrating! I have no problem with condiments - I have found coconut oil to be a nice alternative to butter if you have problems that way - it is always best to go as natural as possible and keep away from chemicals!

All the best to you!

The ingredients in Bestlife Buttery Spread look reasonably safe. Check the ingredients of the condiments you use. For example some brand of ketchup contain high fructose corn syrup which is not safe.
