I've decided to give the FODMAP diet a shot, but I see fennel is listed as a 'food to avoid'. Would the amount of fennel in the Peppermint Oil caps be a concern?

FODMAPs are short chained carbohydrates. Most short chained carbohydrates are not found in oil because they are not soluble in oil. That is why garlic infused oil is safe because the FODMAPs from garlic are not transferred to the oil. The fennel oil in the peppermint pills should not present a problem. Eating fennel seeds or the plant could cause problems.
