Hi all, I finally went ahead with the dreaded colonoscopy after having many excuses and reasons not to for about 2 years ... I had one about 10 years ago so I was due for a follow up ... just dreaded the prep ... this time round they use Miralax and 4 Dulcolax tabs ... not quite as bad ... before I used Phosphosoda. ... think over dose of epsom salts water UUUGGHHH nasty stuff ... anyhow no polyps this time, and he tested for everything he could find and found nothing ... other than a little bit of divertriculosis ... not quite full blown divertriculitis ... so that's good news I guess ... but it still doesn't explain the unrelenting IBS-D that I have

I was curious about using Benefiber? I like how it disolves completely ... I'm still having trouble with Heather's fiber supp. Even if I mix it a little at a time with a small wisk and then add more liquid to thin it ... I still can't drink the stuff

I can only recommend Benefiber (wheat dextrin only), it dissolves quite well, tasteless, no adverse symptoms etc.

--------------------
now: stable through EFI+FODMAP dieting (no lactose/no fructose/some fructans and some polyols)

before: IBS-D(pseudo-diarrhoea), bloating, often unbearable pain esp from too much fat: Apr 2007- Dec 2010

[I've tried VSL#3 -> I could tolerate v good amounts of IF (even with less SF), it worked great (but overall I find it too expensive)]
