I need constipating fibre

I've been using Heather's fibre product but apparently it's not enough.

I'm Celiac with IBS. I have a surgically damaged, zero resting muscle tone internal sphincter. Since a fix is impossible my surgeon recommends Imodium and fibre that would gum me up. Currently my stools have the consistency of a paste which my external sphincter has a difficult time blocking.

Any suggestions on the fibre type that would work best?

Pete

When I worked with patients with intractable diarrhea, we often suggested the Metamucil fiber wafers WITHOUT water. You would have to experiment with whether you can tolerate this product and how many fiber wafers you need to take before you can achieve the level of constipation you desire. However, I cannot remember if this product is gluten-free or not.
