I've never been diagnosed celiac but have given up gluten now for years based on my doctor's suggestion. While it hasn't "cured" anything for me I truly believe it helps. There are more and more articles now coming out against gluten. I sometimes can't help but wonder if the chemicals and herbicides now used have contributed to the problems we have with wheat today??

Could also be because wheat is commonly contaminated with mycotoxins (fungal toxins).
