The doctor was concerned with my vitamin d levels. This doesn't make a lot of sense to me as I get outside and exercise a lot eggs (more than i should) and cheese.

Is it likely that IBS would decrease vitamin d levels?

Did you doctor do a blood test for vitamin D levels?

IBS is unlikely to affect the level of vitamin D as it is produced in the skin from sunlight.

While eggs and cheese have a little bit of vitamin but they don't contain nearly as much as cod liver oil and some other foods.

You might find the NIH Vitamin D fact sheet has some useful information.
