Oh, gosh! I'm really sorry! I thought I answered it, but I guess not! Well, to answer your question, I haven't had any of those. And, this might be hard to believe, but I think it'll be hard to show it to him, but I'll give it a try. Thanks!

By the way, if you could, could you please put in a redirecting link towards that specific newsletter? If you could, that would be great! Thanks!

Nascar,
Are you totally on your own when it comes to preparing meals? Do you have any input in to the shopping of food items?

Sometimes I make my own meals, but when I eat cooked foods (I.e. Bacon) someone else (I.e. My grandpa or aunt) makes it for me.
When it comes to shopping, my grandpa goes out to get stuff. If you mean who decides what goes on the shopping list, that's up to grandpa, but sometimes I can make requests.

ok so here are some things you should request, they are super easy anyone can make them cream of rice ceral ( you microwave it or even stir it with boiled water) minute rice (just follow directions on box instant mashed potatoes, (hot water or microwave) these are good soluable fiber bases, eat something like this every meal get plain rice or soy milk, and if you can't then live without milk for a while, dairy is a trigger period, lactose or not ask for fat free saltine crackers (great snacks and stabalizing) and pretzels (dairy free) there is nothing that will red flag your gramps in there cept maybe the soy milk, but it's all available at normal super markets, i would also switch out the corn pops for rice chex, eaten dry or with soy/rice milk, but this kind of stuff should give you a souluble fiber diet base. and if i were you I would limit, or ditch the bacon for a couple weeks to see if that helps.

Those all sound like good suggestions! Thank you! About pretzels, will Rold Gold be fine? Also, one of our local stores sell twisted pretzel sticks made with honey, I believe. Those are okay, too, right?

Regular pretzels are ok but I think the twisted honey ones may have whole wheat which is not safe. I found that out the hard way. Make sure to check the ingredients first.

Oh, and by the way, I thought Corn Pops were good. Check out Heather's brand name reccomendations for IBS-safe foods on the first page of this forum.

Check the ingredients. Rold Gold pretzels here contain high fructose corn syrup
