Is there anything safe to take for more than 3 days to help with heavy duty congestion? I had the misfortune of coming down with some virus/flu just two short weeks after a fairly mild cold. The good news is that the D has not kicked in this time...but I am staying away from medicines other than motrin and tylenol which i don't need anymore. I REALLY need a decongestant. I have the zicam that was recommended but once i start i know i can only use it 3 days per instructions. I will save that for returning to work next week. ANy suggestions for the weekend? Something that won't trigger IBS issues?

Do generic OTC decongestant products with pseudoephedrine give you problems? I don't seem to be okay for me. Of course you have to check the inactive ingredients to make sure they are IBS okay.
