I am fairly new to having IBS, diagnosed Post-infection and symptomatic since August this year. I found Heather's godsend cookbook and all was well-controlled until this week. Anyone else have breakthrough symptoms even when eating pretty much according to the diet? The only unusual thing was having cranberry juice on ice after a movie on Sunday. Came home and made a recipe from the cookbook that i have made before without problems, yet this time i have had problems gradually worsening since monday. I started eating off page 22 what to eat when you can't eat anything and I think i got worse. maybe the soymilk in the rice pudding. This is making for a lousy holiday! On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages: "You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
