I am currently undiagnosed, but have IBS-C like symptoms and possibly something along the lines of fructose malabsorption or something similar. I am currently going through the entire testing phase. I seem to do okay with flour tortillas but this most recent brand has seemed to cause some excess gas/bloating/stomach gurgling.

I typically eat Mission flour tortillas and have just switched to Don Marcos. The packages are similar as far as ingredients go, however, Don Marcos does list milk under its allergen information where Mission does not. Also, gluten is specifically called out on the Don Marcos ingredients.

Anyone have any ideas here on whether this could be a cause for a spike in symptoms or if it was something else:

Don Marcos

I have had both, this (worse):

Well, just a guess, but the first Dn Marco one listed contais oat fiber and therefore have 6 grams of fiber per serving, compared to less than 1 gram of the second one you listed, and 3 grams for the Mission ones. So more fiber might be the reason for increased gas.

IBS-C, lots of spasm and trapped gas.

I can't believe I missed that. You're right, the fiber would definitely make a difference; especially since it's likely all insoluble.

The Mission brand ones I use actually have 1 gram of fiber as well...similar to the second Don Marco brand. It is the flour tortilla, burrito sized ones. The Don Marco do seem to cause more problems (even the ones without the extra fiber) so I'm still interested to hear if there is anything else in the ingredients that may cause problems.
