are for non-IBS people I know, but how do you people consume fruits then? I myself have had the experience of it being shall we say less than beneficial to eat fruit at the end of a meal, but from the IBS perspective eating fruit on its own or before meals is torture...

Very tricky, typical case of Catch-22.

I'm asking about any fruits.

Normally I would only ever eat apples and bananas. Bananas on their own, apples before meals.

I don't usually eat any other type of fruit as they cause me severe constipation afterwards in that my whole digestive system ceases up either with (better case scenario) or without (worse case scenario) diarrhoea first.

How do you eat fruit? Although I can see that you are IBS-D not IBS-C so it could be different for you.

I can eat bananas, strawberries, just a few, blueberries slice or two of apple.
I know emmasmom eats alot of blueberries and she is a C'er.
I think that cooking with fruit or blending them into smoothies might work better if you are just looking to increase your fruit intake generally speaking...as for enjoying fruit again...bananas are pretty much the only thing I know I can safely eat.Blueberries, strawberries, apples cooked or baked.
Melons are totally out and oranges(my fav) just about kill me.
I would only eat a few small bites after you eat a safe meal.Savour each bite and that may help your craving of fruit again.
