i know that granola is on the list of foods to avoid, but i found a recipe for homemade granola which is just basically rolled oats, raisins, nuts, maple syrup and just a tsp of oil. would that be ok? what is it about granola that makes it bad for ibs?

Granola including the recipe you gave is high in insoluble fiber with little soluble fiber. Better to stick with well regular cooked oatmeal.

Thanks, the recipe sounded yummy but I'll follow your advice and stick with oatmeal.
