Is this a contradiction?
I was RXed Naproxen which I took only a few times due to concerns.
This is another grip with IBS, it compounds treating other non-IBS issues.

Anyway, I am going to see the doc again to ask for another RX.
Do you know of any alternatives, or anti-inflamatories, which would be safer?

I am seeing the doc for muscle aches/pains.

As I said when you asked about this earlier, ask your doctor about aspirin. It's an NSAID and I tolerate it well. As I also said, ask about muscle relaxants if this is still about your sore chest. I'm not going to go look up how to spell what you have but a 60-second Google search I did when you first asked revealed that muscle relaxants can be helpful.

costochondtis.
My shoulder is also barking, as does my lower back at time, right wrist, right knee.

Thanks...I will ask about aspirin and muscle relaxants.

.. that related to RSI. I found that Physio is the best way to go and so long as I'm doing the exercises I'm fine.

I take aspirin when I have a headache which works well as a pain killer.

You may want to look at your exercise routine as you may be aggravating or causing your injuries.

Well I saw the Dr.
He said Aspirin is fine, just you have to take it 4X per day.

So before I buy and experiment, Aspirin is IBS safe?
How come it is safer for IBS as opposed Naproxen or Tylenol?

Tylenol isn't an anti-inflammatory drug but it does have fewer GI side effects than NSAIDs like aspirin and Naproxen. Likely the only way to find out if aspirin is IBS safe for you is to try it. I use enteric coated aspirin from time to time and I don't experience any ill effects.

Wait a sec...I avoid Tylenol because it has acetophenum (sp) which DOES have GI side effects.

Now before I buy aspirin, again, why would it be safer for IBS than Naproxen or other anti-inflamatories?
Do you have a link to the exact kind you use...they make so many?

Check this thread and read what Heather has to say about Tylenol and NSAIDs.

I use any cheap generic brand of aspirin that is enteric coated.
