hi everyone

i joined this board a while ago but i never used my account. so here i go. i am 25 years old from Barbados. i have had ibs-d since i was little but it got a lot worse over the past 3 years. i follow heather's diet which has been very helpful but i can't always get the suggested products because they aren't always available here.

despite my best efforts i still have bad days and its very frustrating especially when friends, family, everyone treat me like I'm a crazy person whose pain is imaginary. Also my boyfriend just broke up with me because apparently my eating habits bother him.

I was also offered an internship at Disney world but I don't think that I will take it; I'm getting a tummy ache at the mere thought of sharing a bathroom and eating staff meals and not being close to home all the time (Barbados is pretty small)

i hope that wasn't too much for a first post; i have lots of questions but for now i just wanted to say 'hi'

Hi and welcome I'm pretty new too - only been here a month or so. I totally understand the not wanting to accept the job - it was so hard for me to hold down a job (I stay at home with my kids now) period, let alone one where I had to eat prepared meals in such close quarters with other people.

Thanks !!
It's very refreshing to talk to someone who gets it. The job is a great opportunity but not for me; I just wouldn't be comfortable.
