Hi All... I'm new to the website and might have posted this somewhere else accidentally! If so, sorry!

I was just looking through some of the supplements and am particularly fascinated with the peppermint capsules and the peppermint tea. However while reading up about the tea I read (and I quote)

"Peppermint also contains essential oils that stimulate the gallbladder to secrete its store of bile, which the body uses to digest fats. This makes Heather's Tummy Tea™ ~ Organic Peppermint a wonderful digestive aid for heavy meals."

I'm wondering if this will affect me negatively if at all differently because I've had my gallbladder removed. Is drinking this tea going to give me pain? Not having my gallbladder seems to compound my IBS problems. Does anyone else out there have IBS and not have a gallbladder? Can you offer any insight into problems you have had? Sometimes I can't tell if I'm having issues due to IBS, not having a gallbladder, or both!! Can anyone offer any help?!

Thank you!

I don't have a gallbladder and have never had any trouble with peppermint tea. I assume that's because I just don't have anything to stimulate.

If your primary symptom is diarrhea, you should talk to your doctor about cholestyramine. People who have had their gall bladders removed sometimes develop diarrhea and cholestyramine may relieve that.

HTH.
