following the diet 4 or 5 days now after really messing myself up and still suffering. hardly go anymore when I do its mushy not well formed. I'm so full of crap I feel bulged out and bulges. just hope by next week I can get "bricks"out. I'm not even hungry anymore, but do eat small meals and snacks. Should I not take any supplements except benefiber powder and pepermint capsules or try caltrate right now? so afraid to do anythin.

Not sure you need anymore supplements. It sounds like you might be having too much insoluble fiber. I hope you have removed celery from your diet

I haven't had that in weeks. I just really messed up system up I binged on candy and no no's..I wonder if the can of red salmon and pasta bothered me? I made blueberry cheese cake bars with otfutti cream cheese...I thought with a good Sf base would be ok,so hard to know what exactly it is. do u think if I took 1/4 or 1/2 an immodium would firm things up and I will still go today??

Oooooo. I tried tofutti once. BIG mistake, but I cannot tolerate soy AT ALL! What were you eating before all this happened to you??

Sometimes when I cannot eat anything, and I'm super constipated, omitting sugar all together and drnking LOTS of warm chamomile tea really helps. Also, no oatmeal. Have you tried taking some Magnesium citrate? I couldn't live without it! If you have some, take a few of them. Just be careful, cuz if you take tooooo many, they will give you diarrhea. I would just start with 2 and see how it goes. I usually take 2-3 a day every day. They really help me!!

Good Luck! Hope you feel better SOON!

I went like 5 days without eating no nos then as I didn't see any improvemnt guess I got depressed and said f it and ended up eating some no no's, way less than I usually do but still a few bites a day..I'm going to keep working till I break my habit.

gum of any type is a no-no - can cause gas which can lead up to other problems....be patient with yourself. It can take weeks or even months to get stable. Don't get discouraged...just stick to the diet no matter what!!! No cheating or you'll never get better!!

what about altoids?

or you know what also works is brushing your teeth. It sounds kind of lame, but if you brush your teeth after every time you eat it feels weird (and tastes bad) to eat right afterwards.

Hang in there, Maria! It is difficult, but let me tell ya, feeling good and not worrying about your belly is SO worth it!:)

Wait, what's wrong with chewing gum if it doesn't contain artificial sweeteners? I use this strategy every night.

It has been documented that chewing gum of any type (same with drinking through a straw) introduces gas creating air into the GI system, thus aggravating IBS symptoms.

I miss chewing mint gum to remove loose particles of food from my teeth when eating out and can't easily brush food particles away with a toothbrush.

Flossing is best, and soft toothpicks will remove food particles and are also good for the gums and teeth, though requires a trip to the restroom after eating out in a restaurant before moving on. For refreshing breath, one hard peppermint candy works well and can aid digestion too.

You say you eat bad food when you eat at MC Donalds. What do you eat there?

I choose to eat the fish sandwich or chicken when we go there,I only eat a few fries and that is after eating the sandwich.

Let me say we eat there less than once a month also.

I think you could can eat safe food where ever you go.Try eating a plain bun first and then a small salad or wrap even.

But what is it you keep eating?

fries I always find pieces of mcdonalds fries in my stool. I ate a big piece of meat on a plain bun with 1 piece of cheese. I was stressed like no other and in the worse mood ever when I did it,I don't know that I can say I regret it now as how darn good it tasted so if I suffer maybe its worth it this time. I am back on track today. I want to make this today http://www.savvyvegetarian.com/vegetarian-recipes/vegan-chocolate-cake.php it looks too high in fat,but still. do u think 2 round heart cake pans work just fine? don't know if they are 9inch..
