Hi, I have only had IBS-vomiting after eating way way too much, or way too much dairy. I do not think it is an actual IBS symtom though, you may want to talk to your doctor if you are frequently vomiting. Cheers.

I don't think vomiting is generally a symptom - certainly not regularly, but you can vomit due to pain, and I suppose if your guts are really in a bad way you might have a lack of appetite or a touch of nausea.

I have vomited a couple of times from really severe period pains - but they're so bad, I'm never sure whether or not I'm gonna pass out. I suppose your guts could, in theory, affect you in the same way.

I recall only 3 occasions that I was very close to vomiting, actually hanging my head over the chamber pot while sitting on the toilet. In the hospital it came out of both ends of me at the same time, so now I'm prepared and keep an old chamber pot nearby, just in case! As I said, it has only occurred 3 times in 3 years. Nausea is sometimes common but vomiting is not -- at least not for me.

Yes it can be. Here is a thread that I started because my daughter was throwing up and I wasn't sure if it was really normal for IBSers. Throwing up

I am not sure if it is a symptom of IBS, but I can say that during severe attacks I have vomitted. I also know it is not uncommon.

Mostly the vomitting occurs when I have a terrible attack after being stable for so long. Or from just plain eating badly for sometime!

You may want to do a search with no time limits to see what else you can find on this subject as I know it has been discussed before.

Take care,
