shortened villi?

Does anyone know exactly what this means or if its something I should look into? When I had my biopsy done for celiac it showed my villi was shortened. Since my celiac came back negative my doctor never said anything else about it but I am wondering why my villi is not normal size.

mrae, so they did an actual biopsy?
I emailed someone about this and hopefully they get back to me.

The person I asked works with IBSers and does reserch but is not a gastro doctor, so he couldn't answer the question and said to ask your doctor about it.

Yes they did a biopsy. I will have to ask when I go back to see him. Thankyou for all your info and help
