Suggestions for breaking a fast?

Howdy. I wonder if anyone has some suggestions for me the next time I fast.

Not long ago I was fasting (religious reasons) two meals per day (breakfast and lunch). I still took my Tummy Fiber in the morning and evening and drank lots of water and tea during the day and I felt fine during the fast.

HOWEVER... when I went to break that fast each evening I had horrible cramping and then D (which I thought was odd since I'm prone to C).

I figured I was shocking my system so I changed it up a bit to eat a small amount of SF only (rice, bread, etc.) an hour or two before dinner...still had the same problem.

Anyone have any helpful hints on breaking a fast? I'm a little concerned about fasting again in the future (for either religious or medical purposes).

Thanks for the input! =)

This probably isn't the best site for finding an answer to your question as they're pretty "anti-fasting" around these parts but i have tried fasting with juice only before and had no problems comming off the juice with processed food like apple souce, yogurt, pudding and soup for a few days before eating any whole food.

Good luck.
