When should you take probiotic when you are on antibiotics. My dentist has put me on an antibiotic. (Amoxicillin 500MG) I am to take the antibiotic 3 times a day. I usually take my probiotic after dinner.

It doesn't matter when you take your probiotic as long as it is a few hours before or after taking the antibiotic.

I heard to wait at least 2 hours after your dose.

I think at least one hour. Two or three is better.
When and if I have to take an antibiotic, me and my whole family SWEARS by Bio-K. It's a liquid, they have a non-dairy version, and must be refrigerated. We have had no diarrhea at all when taking it with an AB.
IT IS NOT CHEAP!
A supply to last you through the end of (and a little beyond) an AB treatment will probably run around $40-60, but it is WELL WORTH IT.
I take the acidophilus pearls regularly and dose up on Bio-K once or twice a year.
