yes, in fact Heather has some pumpkin recipes.

"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

I love pumpkin too. I have tried eating it a variety of ways and using it in baking. I believe it contains more insoluble fiber than soluble fiber. It and some squashes give me problems. You may have to experiment to see if you it is okay for you.

Northwestern University has a table of soluble and insoluble fiber in a variety of foods. Pumpkin has about six times as much insoluble fiber compared to soluble fiber. Roughly speaking 1/2 cup of mashed pumpkin contains 3.6 grams of fiber of which 0.5 grams is soluble fiber and 3.1 grams insoluble fiber. Libby claims 1/2 cup of pumpkin contains 5 grams of fiber. Using the information above it likely contains about 0.7 grams soluble fiber and 4.3 grams of insoluble fiber.
You will probably have to try the pumpkin to see if you can handle it okay.
