HI... Does anyone know anything about the antispasmodic NeLev, this is an little orange tablet that dissolves very quickly under the tongue and tastes orangy... it works pretty good, but I started taking it (once every 4 hrs) on Tues. before Xmas and by Wed. night was having some sharp pains in the breat area, and feeling kind of out of it?

Yes, I know about NuLev. My GI gave me a supply of it right after he confirmed my diagnosis. It never did anything for me -- NOTHING. Hyoscyamine works for me if I just have cramps alone -- but if I have diarrhea with my cramps, then I go for the "hard stuff" (Donnatal).
I'm glad NuLev works for you; if it does, great! Go for whatever WORKS!

ankent. HI I TAKE THE HYCOMINE. ITS THE GENEREC BRAND OF NUELEV. I DID TRY NEULEV, BUT IT WAS A PEPPERMINT TABLET WHAT DISSOLVED IN YOUR MOUTH. IT DID CAUSE THE SAME SYSYTEMS FOR ME BEFORE. I QUIT TAKEING IT BECAUSE THE NUELEV WAS VERY EXPENSIVE FOR ME. SO I TAKE HYCOMINE IT SEEMS TO WORK A LITTLE BIT FOR CRAMPING. HOW MANY PILLS DID YOU SAY YOU TAKE A DAY? JASPER

I have a prescription for it -- but it isn't orange -- it's white --- and it does not give me any pain at all. You may have not gotten the right script. I would have the pharmacist double check it. Mine tastes a little minty too. It worked fairly well for me the ocuple times I have taken it. Eating the right foods works best of all though!

My prescription for it is a little round white pill that dissolves under my tongue in a matter of seconds and tastes like a little mint. I have had fantastic results with them. I do not take them routinely---only on a as needed basis. That's when I get to feeling very gassy, and my tummy starts gurgling and rumbling, and I can feel the pressure building. Those are all "signals" for me that tell me an "attack" is coming on if something doesn't stop it! I take one Nulev then and within minutes I notice an improvement and, so far, taking a Nulev at these times has always held off an attack! My doctor told me that Nulev was an anti-gas medicine. So, maybe you weren't taking it for the right things?? Hope this helps.

My doctor gave me Nulev to take, but the instructions were to only take it right before eating. The doc said it will not work if I take it with my second bite, or after the meal. It worked a few times, but a few times it didn't. Depends on what I eat.

When my doc gave me the stuff, he said to take it BEFORE an attack -- when I think one might be coming on.
I have yet to be able to predict the future. Anyone?
