I was struck yesterday by a post from little minnie who explained what people who are on caffeine suffer from...the withdrawal headaches.

I have not knowingly consumed caffeine in a long time.
I also am not diabetic.
Yet my alarm is now being raised because almost every day in the morning 1 hour after breakfast and at night 2-3 hours after dinner....AND in the middle of my sleep....I get these "headaches" that don't go away until I have something to eat.

It can be the middle of the night...I can get up from my sleep...and not be able to fall back asleep until I eat something.
It is clearly not because I am hungry...it just seems I am having a "caffeine withdrawal" type headache...and I simply do not understand why this is happening.

This really is a problem because having these headache urges to eat disturbs my sleep and distracts me during the day.
Eating food late at night, in the middle of the night, is NOT healthy...and during the day 1 hour after breakfast is a pain.

My questions
1) Have any of you ever had this problem?

2) Any ideas as to why a 25 year old male without diabetes is having this?
-I have enclosed my diet below and listed my current medications.
-Does my diet (too many high Glycemic Index carbs...too small a breakfast) or my medicines possibly contribute?

3) Any solutions?
-Could this just be I need to be more discplined, not give in, and the problem will go away or do I need to see a doctor/change medicines?

Thanks!

All of the drugs you listed have headaches as a possible side effect. It is probably wise to talk to your doctor.

I don't know what those meds are but just wanted to mention two things. Froot Loops have HFCS like ALL Kellogg's cereals (d**n kellogg's). And I just recently guessed your sex and age and was right again. LOL

Thanks...but Fruit Loops and other kellog cereals do NOT have HFCS.
I have always made it a duty to inspect.

I'll have to check again. I have written to Kellogg's more than once about putting HFCS in Special K and marketting it as a diet cereal. They always stand behing HFCS. Last time I looked all their cereals but plain shredded wheat had HFCS.

Check this ingredient listing
http://www.zeer.com/Food-Products/Fruit-Loops-Cereal/000029299
Fruit loops, corn pops, cocca puffs all appear safe...frosted flakes isn't.

Looks like you are right. I went to the Kellogg website and their most sugary sugar cereals have sugar and not HFCS. I did notice they had hydrogenated oil though and that is so unhealthy.
Cracklin Oat Bran doesn't have HFCS either it looks like. When I was young I loved that cereal. My hamster did too LOL.

The oil doesn't matter though if the total fat content is less than 25%, which it is.
