If I am already taking fiber, Benefiber tabs, 2 times a day how much powder would you recommend to start with or even switch?

You always start with 1/2t and no more. If your body is accustomed it will be able to handle rises in the amount more frequently. I was taking many fibercon when starting acacia and started low 1/2t and just went up steadily.
