Sorry if this offends anybody, but, such is life.
I was wondering if rabbit meat is IBS friendly or not? I'm currently planning for the long term, to eventually start raising some of my own foods. I was wondering if rabbit would be a good choice, since they are pretty easy to breed. Chickens would of course be another option as well.
Regardless, I was wondering about the healthyness of the meat itself.
Any ideas?

In gastronomy rabbit meat is consider to be white meat. I have no idea what Heather considers it to be.

Seems like a winner. Now, I've actually never tried it so I think maybe I should do that before I commit to buying a bunch

I've had rabbit several times. To me, it really does taste like chicken.

Rabbit is very good. I actually grew up on wild rabbit. It is much leaner than farm raised. I go rabbit hunting every spring!

I'd go with white meat for rabbit meat. It sort of fell out of favour in the UK after myxomatosis but I've eaten and enjoyed it before but haven't had a chance post IBS. Interestingly white meat occurs in sedentary/grazing type animals who only need to put on the occasional burst of speed to get away from predators.
