i use the acacia tummy fiber daily and it has helped. i am scheduled for a colonoscopy and the instructions say no metamucil for a week prior. since metamucil is an OTB alternative for the tummy fiber, i wonder if the instruction applies to acacia tummy fiber too? it's bad enuf having the procedure and the prep, but a week without my acacia fiber is even more upsetting. anyone know if they are close enuf to the same that i'll have to stop? ( I failed the hemocult test is why i'm getting the test) thanks.

That's interesting, back when I had mine I was able to take my Metamucil until a day or so before. Maybe it has something to do with the reason for your colonoscopy, mine was different. It might just be best to ask you doctor, you surely wouldn't want to have to do it again!
