I'm wondering if these are really going to help, but I'm hopeful. Been a rough last 6 months as I hurt my back and was on Oxycodone, an that made a mess of my IBS-C. Anyone else taking either of these? I did take Paxil for many years with great success. It totally takes away my IBS. Can't take it right now due to pregnancy but plan to go back on it immediately after baby is born! The Carafate is used for ulcers or people who have too much acid in their stomach. I have so many problems with GERD and so far Prilosec, Nexium and Zantac have not helped at all.
