Hi
I was up at 1am- so gassy- and the same - not so gassy during the day- I have more veggies )+(steamed of course at night)- and then i wonder about having some decaf and cherries and a half a plain
shortbread cookie. Maybe the latter so called dessert( which was very tiny portion- did it- what can you do - cut out all veggies- I think that would help me- but not too healthy.I follow the guidelines of this diet- but still have much gas- forget about garlic, onions- dairy .Anyone else out there who could help????

I am gassey in the evening to I think its because I eat more and I not up moving as much. Have you tried taking bean-o before you eat it helps me alot. Heathers fennel tea is awesome for gas. I use to have a cup evey night after dinner or with my dinner it makes a differance. hth

Don't assume that what you eat for breakfast is safer than what you eat for dinner. Bloating just strikes in the afternoon. If I get it in the morning it is a very bad day (like when DH was in the hospital), otherwise it is always after noon. I choose to work around it like scheduling massages and chiro in AM so I won't fart and putting off my walking around stuff at work til afternoon.
I've heard theories as to why but no real explanations.

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
