Does anyone have any advice regarding vitamins and specific brands of vitamins? My doctor suggested taking a multivitamin, as well as Calcium plus D, and iron. I have heard calcium and iron can be tough on the tummy, and am not sure I will be able to take them.

I have a real hard time with vitamins as most send my system into a huge IBS flare.
However, I am slowly finding a few things that seem to be ok, for me. So maybe you will be able to take them too!

Calcium Citrate caps - twinlab
it is in a powder form and not in a pressed cap.

Nature Made multi (for her) - it comes in a liquid softgel.

So far these two seem ok for me.

Good luck!

I cannot take any multi vitamin that smells like vitamins. I don't know if that will make any sense to you. Many have a very strong smell that upsets my system.

I can relate to that Janey! How interesting.

I just noticed you are from Maine. Have you ever heard of a clinic in Yarmouth called Women to Women?

Yes I have. I have never been there but I have heard of the clinic. Have you been there?

I used to work with a girl that put a supplement in her water and it made the whole office small like vitamins. It made my stomach feel sick just smelling it. My husband thinks I'm crazy and doesn't understand why I can't take vitamins.

I am a new patient there. Thought perhaps they could help my tummy problems as much of this could be caused by hormonal imbalance. Figured I'd check everything in every area.
They seem really nice and caring over there, but my regular doctor questions what they prescribe. She claims non of the meds will do any good.
We could email privately if you would like to talk more about the clinic.

It is so nice meeting you!
